If You Are Looking For 2 way radios, You May Want To Check Out The Motorola MH230R 23-Mile Range.

Thankyou for reading my site, here’s an article i actually loved reading. With their agreement i’m able to repost it. I compose plenty of my own posts, but occasionally post other content i think are fascinating, thanks for reading.

2 way radio discountThere will come a time when you must find a way to keep in touch with a group of people that are spread out in various directions. These types of radios can be used for all different things and can genuinely help when you need to know where an individual is.

Yearly, all the men in our family go on a fishing trip to Lake Champlain. Since we normally have about 8 to 10 boats on the water so everyone can fish, it is difficult to keep track of everyone as Lake Champlain is huge. Getting everyone to come in for lunch or dinner was just about impossible because of the size of the lake and since people didn’t like brining their cellular phones in the boats, (that’s another story). We would actually row around the lake, usually for hours, trying to find everyone and tell them it is time to eat.

Then a few years ago, I bought two sets of these Motorola radios and put them in 4 boats. And it was one of the greatest things I ever did. These radios have a range of 23 miles and no individual was ever out of touch with any of the boats. As a result, after trying them out, the succeeding year I made certain we had a radio for each boat. This was a really smart thing as the next year my uncle’s boat broke down and wouldn’t start and the fact that he was about 3 miles away from the camp meant that we would have had a difficult time searching for him. My uncle notified us on the two-way radio and the first thing he did was thank me for purchasing the radios and then told me that his boat wouldn’t start. So we went out and towed him and his boat back to the house. Without the radios he would have had to use a single oar to get his sort of huge bass boat back to camp.

These two-way radios have always worked. In addition, you don’t have to worry about replacing the batteries in these radios all the time as they are rechargeable and come with a mounting station. One more fantastic feature of these Motorola radios is that they come equipped with a weather receiver so you can keep up with the weather when you’re outdoors.

And the uses of these radios are almost boundless. On a trip to Disney, my mom took the two-way radios with her since she was taking 6 of the grandkids on the trip with her. She thought that it would be a good idea to make certain all of the grandkids had a two-way radio attached to them just in case someone got lost. While no one got lost, that was actually a great idea she had.

SeveralA few of my family members even use them when they are going hunting in a large group to let others know when they are leaving. You have no idea what a time saver this can be unless you have ever been walking around the woods trying to locate someone you can’t find, merely because they got cold and decided to go home.

Virtually everyone in my family went out and got a headset for the Motorola radio they use so when we are hunting we can keep things quiet. With 121 privacy codes and 22 different channels that can be utilized, there’s no need to worry about other two-way radios interfering.

These two-way radios are really low-cost at $39.95 for a pair when bought through Amazon.com. And I am sure that you will be able to find more uses for the two-way radios than what we use them for.

Wireless LAN Technology

xyz two way radio service inc new yorkWith a great deal of information around the internet about two way radio new york’s it’s hard to discover the best and generally honest articles. heres an article from a good blog that i believe to be veritable, do not quote me on it but please read and enjoy

Like a quick means to fix business PC networking needs, wireless connection or 2 Way Radios is not going anywhere soon. But is the simplicity installation and setup worth the rise in security issues? This short article examines some from the risks.

Wireless LAN Topologies

The weaknesses associated with a PC network increases compared towards the size and character from the network. Every entry way turns into a potential security bleach.

1) Peer-To-Peer:

Inside a wired peer-to-peer topology each computer within the system, unless of course limited to simply two computer systems in order to a BNC type circle, will share indirect communications along with other products around the network. Excluding Online connections, a wired peer-to-peer topology is really a sealed system. Exterior invasive activity from a walkie talkie is very limited.

Switch now from wired to wireless, along with a simple peer-to-peer PC network becomes a wide open invitation to exterior attack. Each computer within the product is now directly connected holiday to a in-range unit. This open ease of access instantly increases the requirement for additional security software and tools.

2) Entry Way Connections:

PC network systems frequently utilize hubs as a way of discussing communication between a variety of WLANs. Together with many other functions, hubs perform critical DHCP services. By character, hubs are made to help control security issues. Hubs bring a link point between both wireless and wired systems.

Alternatively hands, an entry way is basically a portal, a place of access that bridges wireless traffic onto a current wired or wireless backbone. Though access points do share common security standards using their router alternatives, they don’t have the traffic control options that come with a router.

Access points are just like inserting your laptop right into a wall jack. Nobody really has treatments for who plugs in. In addition, the greater customers that jump to the line, the reduced the machine will function.

3) Indicate Multipoint Wireless Bridge:

Bridges use multiple hubs for connecting LANs together. Standard wired bridging is restricted for the reason that it only enables wired clients for connecting to some secondary router. Since wireless connectivity isn’t involved, the available security resembles what wireless peer-to-peer PC networking connection.

Wireless bridges connect LANs together without relation to its distance. Though they’re not going to work under standard bridge methodology, the required adaptations are couple of and straightforward. Bridge software and tools can certainly extend the number or perhaps your network, either wired or wireless.

Wireless bridges have two major weak points: 1) Type of site and/or even the primary router’s umbrella will limit the effectiveness from the bridge 2) Security risks increases proportionately towards the available wireless connections.

A Couple of from the Security Risks

Wireless PC networking is definitely an open entrance to entry way cloning, traffic interception, and monitoring Unless set up to want passwords, invasive customers can establish new wireless connections Brute pressure attacks against password encryptions Open client-to-client entrance doors which include file discussing, service attacks, and Ip duplication Service jamming. Using choice software and tools, troublemakers can certainly ton your computer network

PC networking is essential when attempting to operate a company or office at home. You wish to make certain that it’s installed, and supervised correctly.

Human-like robot designed to mimic the appearance

0

2 way radio on iphoneThankyou for reading my site, here is a piece i really enjoyed reading. With their authorization i can repost it. I write lots of my own content pieces, but occasionally repost other articles i think are interesting, thankyou for reading.

Essentially, an android is a Human-like robot designed to mimic the appearance, mannerisms and body language of a flesh and blood person. However, even that definition is a flimsy one, as science fiction writers have come up with numerous weird and wonderful ways to create many new types of androids (at least on the page).

Sometimes an android is built by an alien race and thus resembles its creators. Sometimes an android is mostly robotic, but has some recognizably Human traits and sometimes an android is a bioorganic machine that is grown rather than built (making it very similar to the legendary homunculus creatures of ancient myth, or even the Golem of Jewish folklore).

The difference, essentially, between a robot and an android is that an android is designed to look more Human (for one reason or another) and a robot looks, well, like a robot (and thats opening a whole other can of worms, if youre interested in that, start with Al Jazari and go from there).

Why we want it?

The applications for Human-like robots are actually endless. Android firefighters could rescue people from areas inaccessible to Human beings, android surgeons would never miss a mark and their pleasant, Human-like appearance would certainly be preferable to some sort of scary surgical machine (if we were forced to choose, that is).

Androids could fill up many jobs that regular people simply dont want to do (but hopefully in a money-less environment to avoid putting people out of said jobs). If we are still using money by the time the androids show up, then android stock-brokers could use their computer-minds to analyse and prefigure oncoming trends months in advance, rendering the entire economy as one clear, safe equation.

Androids could actually be extremely beneficial to the world, but Im going to avoid the ethical consequences of their creation in this piece. You can discuss that amongst yourselves.

When can we expect it?

Robotics is an area of science that has come along in leaps and bounds recently. It may yet prove to be the breakthrough discipline of this era (following biology, psychology and, arguably, information technology before it).

In Japan, the Intelligent Robotics Lab have developed what they call an Actroid, which is an android by any other name. Able to mimic breathing, movement, blinking and speaking, these machines are actually quite a startling sight! However, despite running a complex form of A.I (artificial intelligence), the Actroids brain is actually accessed and operated via an external computer.

A bit more recently, in 2011, Danish professor Henrik Schrfe unveiled a robot version of himself. Hes not quite Noonien Soong, but its definitely a start!

I think well see realistic androids in at least some workplaces by 2050, but as to proper, artificial people, Im not sure that the majority of the Human race would ever actually allow such beings to be created. Having said that, if these early pioneering scientists get a consistently strong reaction to their creations, then I certainly wouldnt rule anything out.

NASA Sent Phones Into Space, and Now They’ve Called Home

0

two way radio longest rangeWhat would you know, this site About keyword is definitely interesting, i hope you enjoy it
Ever since NASA launched a new group of tiny, phone-powered satellites into space a few weeks ago, we’ve been waiting for one of the little PhoneSats to phone home. Now, one of the nano-satellites has successfully communicated with Earth, an important test of a much-needed capability.

Engineers at NASAs Ames Research Center are currently in the middle of testing two-way communications technology on one of the PhoneSat experimental satellites they shot into space a couple weeks ago. On Wednesday, the tiny satelliteweighing only about 2.2 pounds, or the size of 20 CDs stacked into a cubeused its S-band radio to make a call the ground monitoring station at Santa Clara University, in California, signaling to the engineers that it was ready to receive commands.

The satellite is called a PhoneSat because the satellites brain is basically built around a heavily modified Samsung Nexus S, running off the shelf Android software.

Two way communications are really important to NASAs long term objective of building satellites on the cheap, because theyll enable teams on the ground to control PhoneSateventually including things like navigation and instrument readings.

During the Walkie Talkie tests, the most critical system the engineers on the ground will send commands to is the attitude control. That system uses a smartphones magnetometer to sense the earths field, creating an aligning force with magnetorquers, or printed-circuit electromagnetic coils commanded by the phone. With its attitude control functioning, the PhoneSat can align itself with Earths horizon, something thats pretty useful for satellites, according to NASA engineer Jim Cockrell.

But the attitude control system uses a lot of power, so the teams on the ground want to be able to shut it on and offhence the importance of the new two-way S-band radio.

This new version of the PhoneSatthe first version went to space earlier this yearuses more heavily modified Nexus phones than previously. NASA has stripped away or disable many of the components they dont needfor example, the engineers removed the screen and enclosure, as neither are necessary to operate a satellite. Basically, the only thing left over is whatevers attached to the circuit board, said Cockrell.

The engineering team also replaced the standard Nexus battery with a much more powerful Lithium Ion battery pack thats charged via solar cellsalso bought off-the-shelfcustom fitted to the PhoneSats outer hull. Interestingly enough, the engineers chose to use factory second solar cells, or remnants from older solar arrays in order to, you guessed it, build panels on the cheap. The engineering team then had to construct custom mounts and boards, Cockrell said.

The whole point of the PhoneSat program is twofold: to first determine if its even possible to operate space faring vehicles with off-the-shelf consumer technology. And so far, it looks like it is. The second reason NASA is interested in building satellites out of smartphones is discover the cheapest possible way to build a useful spacefaring satellite. Versus traditional satellites, smartphonesand so too the PhoneSatshave thousands of times faster computational speeds, and many times more memory, said Cockrell.

Phonesat 2.5, the next generation of mini satellite.

With such advanced technology available off-the-shelf for a few hundred dollars, NASA didnt see the value of reinventing the wheel. Manufacturers have invested gazillions of dollars into research and development of smartphones, Cockrell said, Countless research dollars make them fast, with a large memory and a lot of sensors. And if NASA invested in similar technology it would likely require millions and millions of dollars, Cockrell said.

Cheap satellites have a number of advantagesif they can survive spaces rigors, Cockrell said. If the program proves successful, they would allow NASA to take a different approach while exploring the universe. With multiple copies of your satellite, even if one fails, you can afford to have another one at the system level still functioning, the engineer said.

The materials in each PhoneSat 2.4as this iteration is calledcost approximately $7,500, off the shelf. The PhoneSats design and fabrication took about a year by a team of fewer than 10 engineerswho are all entry level, Cockrell said. Usually only senior NASA engineers work on satellite projects, but since the cost is lower, its feasible to give junior engineers a shot.

The next version, 2.5, is set to launch in February aboard a commercial SpaceX rocket and will continue to test the two-way radio and orientation systems, according to NASA officials. Further launches are expected in 2014 as the space agency aims to demonstrate how networking eight small satellites can be usedeventuallyto monitor things like the Earths climate, space weather, and other global-scale phenomena.

Walkie Talkies and the Information You Need to Know

0

Again a different article i thought was interesting on the topic of walkie talkie with earpiece’s, what would you do if i didn’t post this ehh? you would have to check out the original content, and the chances you found it would be slim, so deem yourself fortunate that i’ve shared this excellent article with you.

two way radio donationsA 2 way radio differs from a broadcast radio in the sense that it can receive as well as send messages and can be used for communication between two people. These types of radios are available in several different configurations. These include the hand held radios, mobile radios and stationary base radios. These radios can either operate in a full duplex mode or a half duplex mode. In the full duplex mode, these radios can be used for both sending and receiving data at the same time over different channels.

In the half duplex mode, these radios can be used for either sending or receiving data over a single channel. There are various things that one needs to know about the 2 way radios . These radios are very compact, are light weight and are available at a very affordable cost. These radios are available in different styles and are used for a large number of applications.
These radios generally have a push to talk button that make it very convenient to use and easy to handle. These radios are available with either rechargeable batteries or replaceable batteries. These batteries can either be made of nickel and cadmium or of lithium ion.

The 2 way radios operate in different ranges. The range specifies the distance that can be covered by these radios for communication. These radios can operate over short ranges or long ranges. This depends upon various factors like the frequency, the type of terrain etc.
Most of these types of radios operate in line of sight frequencies. This means that they cannot work well in hilly areas and in places where there are obstructions. These radios come with a large number of features. These radios are even made compatible with computers so that they can be used for sending data from one computer to another computer.

Another thing that users must know about two Way Radios is that these can even be used for hands free communication as these are available with handsets. These radios may or may not require licenses for their use. When these radios are used for personal purposes, the need of licenses does not arise.
If these radios are used for the purpose of business or in organizations, then the users need to obtain licenses for their use.
The 2 way radios operate on different channels. Since these channels are open, anyone can listen to the communication or intercept the messages being sent. To prevent this, these radios come with a privacy code. Also most of these radios are provided with scanning functions so that the channels can be automatically scanned for and manual setting of channels is not required.

These radios can be purchased from stores that deal in electric gadgets or can be bought online. The internet is the best place to buy these radios as a user can compare the various types of radios available and then choose the best one. This ensures that the user gets the best deal and does not end up purchasing a radio that does not satisfy the requirements of a user.

Zello 2 Way Radio Now Allows Users to Mute “on the Fly,” Adds Additional Bug Fixes

0

Article of the Day………ok so i haven’t got a piece of writing each day, but when i get an opportunity I will post content that I find fascinating. Fortunate enough here’s one of those articles that I read and needed to share. If you enjoy it as much as me, please add one of those special social media likes, you know the one that tells one and all that you enjoyed something, rather than you sat on your arse and watched Television!

Early Saturday, Zello released an update to its Walkie Talkie application that added a new ability for the user to mute and unmute on the fly. This was the most notable addition to the application and the first addition we’ve seen on Zello in some time (if you don’t count the UI changes that occurred in December).

In addition to the new mute settings, Zello version 2.44 also fixes a “rare condition” when the recipient receives a notification sound only, but no message. If you’ve experienced this before, let us know if the new version still gives you this issue.

Zello also fixed the feature that allows users to Talk to all moderators and also included an assortment of additional bug fixes that were not broken down individually, which is normal for most minor updates that are rolled out.

Cornwall declared first rural social enterprise zone

0

My basic review of the new motorola two way radio xtr446 it begins well, looks quite cool, is simple to run and very energy resourceful, the pmr radio is a fine item. I’m glad I bought it, read more below.

Cornwall has been designated a rural social enterprise zone.

Unlike business enterprise zones which offer financial incentives to companies, the aim of rural social enterprise is to boost the local economy and care for the environment.
Civil Society Minister Nick Hurd said it was about “businesses who wanted to use profit for social good”. Organisations involved include Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, the Eden Project and Community Energy Plus.

Cornwall’s rural social enterprise designation is the first in the UK and was accredited by Social Enterprise UK (SEUK). Its chief executive Peter Holbrook said it was an outstanding achievement for Cornwall which he said was “one of the most dynamic places in the UK for social enterprise”.
‘Community spirit’ He said the duchy was a “hive of social enterprise” and the combination of public and private collaboration was exceptional.

“It has both the volume and quality when it comes to creativity and it has that great local community spirit,” he said. “Cornwall’s status as a rural social enterprise zone means that business leaders, politicians and public agencies recognise that social enterprise has a key role to play in shaping the future of Cornwall,” he added.
Fifteen Cornwall was set up as the Cornwall Food Foundation charity in 2006 as a chef training programme and restaurant with the intention of providing qualifications and a future for young people in the Duchy who had hit hard times.

Of the 120 apprentices enrolled, more than 90% are in work, and about 70% are chefs. Chief Executive Matthew Thomson said. “Right across the country what we’re seeing is that people making big profits at the expense of other people is no longer acceptable,
“What a social enterprise structure can give you is a way of levelling out those profits, so that more people get a fair share and the profits are put to work for the community and the environment.”

Internet Radio-Spreading the Boundaries for Radio Listeners

0

communication devices for the deafSo to continue my run of posts on this website, I have decided to share one of my favorite content pieces this week. I used to be hesitant to include it to the site because I actually didn’t wish to offend the original author, but I trust he/she is glad that I enjoyed reading their work and wanted to share it with my readers.

Live radio is conceptually a continuous streaming of audio that is broadcasted over the web.
Radio broadcasting over the internet is generally referred to as webcasting. There are various modes of radio webcasting and users have the opportunities to access live radio mostly free of cost and on some occasions on the basis of some fixed subscriptions.
Online radio stations allow users to access their favorites regardless of time and place only at the expense of a proper net connection that is compatible of streaming. Since the internet radio services are accessible globally, radio lovers do not need to worry about staying connected to their favorite radio stations even while travelling abroad.

Internet radio services offer almost all formats like news, sports, various genres of music etc which is perhaps far ahead of the scope of the traditional Radio (hanaghansarah.livejournal.com) stations. In most of the cases, online radio stations are coupled with consequent traditional radio network.

Online radio stations are simply based on the method of delivering audio programming from one computer to other computers over any network via digital means. Online radio stations broadcast live radio which is essentially a combination of telecast of the traditional radio stations along with content from the internet-only stations.

Internet radio would not have been possible without the discovery of the streaming technology in the mid nineties due to some serious technological advancement. Earlier, instead of accessing live radio, users had to download a particular audio file in order to listen to it.
But subsequently, with the invention of the streaming technologies, radio listeners can afford to listen to any particular audio in real time. Streaming generally consists of both live material as well as archived clips of audio contents recorded earlier.

In order to stream any audio, some software must be there which is capable of encoding the data transmitted from the radio stations. Listening to radio over online radio stations is therefore quite sensational from the point of view that neither any additional hardware is required nor any alternative appliance is required.

Only a single appliance can serve both the purposes of computing as well as listening to live radio.
Online radio stations generally follow some interactive programming wherein users can include images, animations, and even videos unlike the traditional radio stations. The number of users listening to live radio on a particular channel can be easily traced by estimating the number of visitors of that particular page on a particular day which can produce some great information for evaluation of the popularity of that channel.

The potential of the web to reach global audiences can be applied by the radio stations for not only reaching audiences worldwide, but also giving advertisements some cutting edges through graphics, banners, pop-ups etc. The facilities that the radio listeners can enjoy while listening to live radio over online radio stations are beyond the limits of the traditional radio stations.
Therefore the traditional radio stations might get obliterated in near future owing to the increase in the number of net users.

Roving volunteers will help stranded motorists on Springfield streets

0

Some of these trained writers on the net are at such a top level that i wonder if any of them have ever written a paperback? well every so often i like to spotlight these brilliant articles and here is one i thought was remarkable the other day.

communication devices ww2Beginning Tuesday, the Springfield Police Department has a Motorist Assist Program (MAP) staffed by volunteers. MAP’s mission is for trained volunteers to make contact with stranded motorists whose vehicles have become immobile on the streets of Springfield.

The volunteers will use the MAP vehicle to provide stranded motorists with cover and alert other motorists to use caution while driving past the stalled vehicle until it can be safely removed from the roadway.

The MAP vehicle is a white, unmarked police car equipped with amber overhead lights and door magnets that identify it as part of MAP.

All MAP volunteers undergo a background check and program training provided by the SPD. On-duty volunteers receive a Walkie Talkie, and police and dispatchers are able to see if a MAP volunteer is available in the event that they find someone with a stalled vehicle along a road.

The police department developed the program to render aid to citizens of Springfield and to allow officers to remain available for law enforcement duties and to respond to other calls for service. It is part of the SPDs Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program, which strives to build a better community through partnership.

Citizens interested in joining MAP or getting involved in other volunteer opportunities can call (417) 864-1351 or visit the volunteer page on the SPD website.
